DescriptionIn recent years, the numerical modeling of flow and transport processes has become one of the most powerful prediction tools for the assessment of impacts on or changes in hydrosystems. In the lecture, an introduction is given to system theory, numerical methods and discretization techniques. In particular, Finite-Difference and Finite-Element Methods for groundwater systems are discussed. Computer exercises are designed to enhance a better understanding aim at practical applications.
