We congratulate our colleague Anneli Schöniger on her very sucessful PhD graduation. Her research focused on uncertainy quantification in the modelling of hydrosystems, including uncertain model structures, uncertain parameters and uncertain input data. Some of her publications during her studies at the Center for Applied Geosciences (University of Tübingen) and at the LS3 (University of Stuttgart) are:
- Parameter estimation by ensemble Kalman filters with transformed data: Approach and application to hydraulic tomography
- Model selection on solid ground: Rigorous comparison of nine ways to evaluate Bayesian model evidence
- Bayesian model averaging to explore the worth of data for soil‐plant model selection and prediction
- Finding the right balance between groundwater model complexity and experimental effort via Bayesian model selection
- A statistical concept to assess the uncertainty in Bayesian model weights and its impact on model ranking
