The DuMux Short Course 2025 took place at the University of Stuttgart from September 30th to October 2nd, 2025. The course offered a specialized introduction to DuMuX, an open-source simulation framework based on the DUNE numerical toolbox for modeling multi-phase, multi-component, multi-scale, and multi-physics flow and transport in porous media.
The course was tailored to participants with basic experience in C++ programming and an understanding of fluid mechanics and numerical methods. A total of ten participants from various institutes at the University of Stuttgart, as well as from other, partly international universities, took part.
The course is organized together with the Collaborative Research Centre 1313 (SFB 1313).
