With a kick-off meeting in Karlsruhe on 12th and 13th April 2022, the project "TrinkXtrem - Adaptation strategies of public drinking water supply to extreme events" started its work. The joint project (funding code 02WEE1625 A-J) receives funding of approximately 2.7 million euros from the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) as part of the "WaX Water Extreme Events" funding measure.
All project partners participated in the two-day kick-off meeting and presented their research projects in 15-minute presentations followed by discussions.
From the University of Stuttgart, the Department of Hydromechanics and Modeling of Hydrosystems is involved in the network with Subproject 8 "Adaptation Strategies of Public Drinking Water Supply to Extreme Events". Project leaders are Holger Class and Rainer Helmig. Project researcher is Tim Jupe.
