Maria Fernanda Morales Oreamuno joins LS3 as a PhD researcher. She will be working on the project "Improvement of the predictive quality of final storage site-relevant simulations through optimal data acquisition and smart monitoring" under supervision of apl. Prof. Dr.-Ing. Sergey Oladyshkin and Prof. Dr.-Ing. Wolfgang Nowak. This project is a cooperation with partner universities. The project deals with Bayesian model calibration and optimal data acquisition to improve the predictive quality of subsurface models with the use of surrogate models (meta-models) and Bayesian Active Learning.
