Assem Mayar successfully held his presentation on Spatio-temporal behavior of colmation process on 18.10.2019 as part of his Qualifying Exam

Mohammad Assem Mayar presented his research results during the qualifying exam held on October 18, 2019, at the University of Stuttgart. The assessment committee appointed by the Civil and Environmental Engineering faculty of the University of Stuttgart was composed of Prof. Karl-Heinrich Engesser as Chairman and Prof. Silke Wieprecht from the University of Stuttgart; Prof. Maurizio Righetti from the University of Bolzano, and Prof. Markus Noack from the Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences as members.

Mr. Mayar’s Ph.D. research topic is “Spatio-temporal behavior of colmation processes”. The topic is investigated using advanced equipment and physical experiments in the Hydraulic Laboratory of the University of Stuttgart. Such methods allow for studies of colmation processes at a fundamental level of research by investigating distinct processes involved in colmation development.

Mr. Mayar has published his research findings in the two peer-reviewed journal papers and presented them at the several international conferences.

At the current stage, the committee evaluated Mr. Mayar successfully.

The Qualifying Exam was part of the framework of the international doctoral program Environment Water (ENWAT; https://www.enwat.uni-stuttgart.de/).
