The "River Flow 2020" conference took place online this time, like many other assembly events. Five interesting sessions offered insights into latest fundamental research, digitalisation in river engineering, "healthy" rivers, management of extreme events, and the impact of anthropogenic stressors on rivers. The innovative concept has received many positive reactions from the more than 380 participants. The participants of the IWS say thank you to the organizing committee from Delft (Netherlands) for many new impressions.
