Our colleague
Dr. Jannik Haas wrote his dissertation with
the title "Optimal planning of hydropower and energy storage technologies for fully renewable power
systems", and successfully defended it in 2019 with disctinction. For this dissertation, he was now
awarded the 2020 Boysen award from the Friedrich and Elisabeth Boysen Foundation.
This prize is awarded annually for outstanding dissertations with outstanding contributions
and innovation in the area of environmental engineering from the University of Stuttgart, the
Dresden University of Technology and the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology.
