After an introduction to the generalized lattice Boltzmann (GLB) methodand its applications to macroscopic flow problems, recent improvementsand developments for the GLB and the efficient modeling of multiphaseflow on the microscale are presented. Several simulations of multiphaseflows through porous media including dynamic effects are given anddiscussed.
