Harsha Pallam joins LH2 as doctoral student under the supervision of Rainer Helmig and Veronika Schleper (Bosch Research)

January 30, 2023 /

Harsha Palam from India is a new doctoral student at LH2. His doctoral project is jointly supervised by Rainer Helmig and Veronika Schleper from the Department of Applied Mathematics and Engineering (CR/AME3) of Bosch Research in Renningen

Harsha Pallam graduated in 2022 at the Indian Institute of Technology in Hyderabad with a Master in Hydraulics and Water Resources Engineering. In his Master's thesis entitled "Modeling nanoparticle transport through heterogeneous porous media" he developed a mathematical model to simulate nanoparticle transport in a single pore throat in soil that is physically and chemically heterogeneous. The pore-scale results were then used to develop correlation equations between pore-averaged deposition rate coefficients vis-a-vis various pore-scale parameters. Harsha's doctoral project has the working title "Modeling the interaction of different porous layers in PEM fuel cells" and is jointly supervised by Rainer Helmig and Veronika Schleper from Bosch Research.

We are very happy to have Harsha in our group and look forward to working together on this current topic.
