Two-month research stay at LH2 by Ivan Yotov as SimTech Visiting Professor

May 21, 2024 /

Ivan Yotov is Professor at the Department of Mathematics of the University of Pittsburg (USA) and Mercator Fellow within SFB 1313. From 15th May to 15th July 2024, he will be visiting the Department of Hydromechanics and Modelling of Hydrosystems as SimTech Visiting Professor.

Ivan Yotov is Professor at the Department of Mathematics of the University of Pittsburgh and Mercator Fellow within the Collaborative Research Center 1313. His research interests are in numerical analysis of partial differential equations and large scale scientific computing with applications to flow in porous media, computational fluid dynamics, and biomedical problems. His recent work spans multiscale modeling of multiphysics systems of coupled flow and mechanics, advanced finite element and finite volume discretizations, scalable parallel solvers and preconditioners, stochastic modeling, uncertainty quantification, and parameter estimation.

Ivan Yotov's research stay is supported by the Cluster of Excellence "SimTech".
