Experimental investigations of the erosion behaviour of cohesive soils

Within this project the SETEG-system (Strömungskanal zur Ermittlung der tiefenabhängigen Erosionsstabilität von Gewässersedimenten) of the hydraulic laboratory is used to investigate the erosion behaviour of cohesive soils. Next to the detection of surface failures, a newly developed photogrammetric approach, called PHOTOSED (PHOTOgrammetric Sediment Erosion Detection), is applied to measure the erosion rates during the experiments in high spatial and temporal resolutions.
