REFINA: WissTrans - Transfer of knowledge via innovative advanced training concepts for brownfield redevelopment/urban land management

Abstract

The ongoing land consumption in Germany led to many research activities regarding sustainable land management. However, there is a lack in the transfer of the new ideas and recommendations so a lot of them have not reached the stakeholders who are concerned with the challenges of brownfield redevelopment and urban land management. The REFINA research project WissTrans (Transfer of knowledge via innovative advanced training concepts for brownfield redevelopment/urban land management) wants to support the knowledge transfer by implementing a new training concept that combines face-to-face courses and e-learning. The target groups are regional and local authorities, private project developers, urban planners and engineers working on contaminated sites.

Summarised the project WissTrans can be characterised by:
knowledge transfer by face-to-face courses and e-learning in the form of blended learning: a cost and time saving way of education

interesting, new problem-orientated topics of the face-to-face course, that will go more into detail in comparison to the basic oriented e-learning offer

new formats of face-to-face courses for the improvement of the efficiency of the knowledge transfer.
