Uni Stuttgart dances Queerobics!

Diversity is enriching - we are convinced of this at the University of Stuttgart. Openness, respect, fairness and appreciative cooperation make up the organizational culture of the University of Stuttgart.

On June 3, members of the University of Stuttgart, Stuttgart Media University, Stuttgart University of Applied Sciences and Merz Akademie danced Queerobics for the second time. Following the success of the first Queerobics event in November 2024 as part of the International Day of Tolerance, we once again set an example for tolerance and diversity at the beginning of June and organized the second Queerobics fitness class.

Queerobics: Dua Look dances at the front

What is Queerobics? The word Queerobics is a combination of the terms “queer” and “aerobic” and is a fitness class that fuses Zumba and aerobics under the lead of drag queen Dua Look. Queerobics emphasizes the celebration of diversity and the well-being of each individual and promotes fitness and health. The focus is on creating a welcoming atmosphere in which participants feel comfortable and safe.

Queerobics is a joint project with the University Sports and is free of charge for participants thanks to funding by the Diversity Fund. The offer was very well received and was fully booked within a few hours! 52 participants danced Queerobics on June 3 - a great success that we would like to repeat in the winter semester!

Dua Look inspired us with her enthusiasm and positive energy! We danced together and spent the evening in a good mood. Are you joining us next winter semester?
