BMBF approves new research project for Holger Class, Bernd Flemisch and Martin Schneider

The Federal Ministry of Education and Research grants scientists of LH2 a project as part of the specialist program "GEO:N - Digital Geosystems: Virtual Methods and Digital Tools for Geoscientific Applications"

In November 2023, the Federal Ministry of Education and Research approved funding of the project "DIETER: Digitization of mining structures using innovative sensor technology and artificial intelligence". The proposal was submitted jointly with scientists from Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences and EXWE GmbH. Holger Class, Bernd Flemisch and Martin Schneider are leaders of the Stuttgart sub-project "Multi-dimensional process modeling and validation of a digital mine model". The project is being coordinated by the Ruhr University Bochum. The three-year research project started in January 2024.
