Aroua Mannai is a doctoral student at the Ecole Nationale d'Ingenieurs de Tunis. Her dissertation is supervised by Dr. Emna Mejri.
In the past, Aroua has visited the Department of Hydromechanics and Modeling of Hydrosystems several times for longer research stays as part of the expired project "Environmental applications of evaporative salt precipitation in porous media (EVASAL)". The project was funded by the DAAD through the "German-Arab Transformation Partnerships" program.
Aroua is working on salt crystallization, porous building materials, modelling, dry evaporation, free flow, coupling and poromechanics. During her stay in Stuttgart, she will hold scientific discussions with Rainer Helmig and other members of LH2.
