Water Research Network Baden-Württemberg: Start-up Funds for the Initiation of Joint Projects

May 14, 2020 /

The LWW is participating in RICoLAUD – a start-up fund project based at the University of Hohenheim for the promotion of water research by Baden-Württemberg’s Ministry of Science, Research and the Arts of the Land of Baden-Württemberg (MWK).

RICoLAUD stands for Rivers as Integrated Connecting factor between Landscape, Agriculture, Urban settlement and Delta. In this start-up fund project, researchers from the University of Hohenheim, the Karlsruhe University of Applied Science, and the University of Stuttgart are working on a proposal that combines their core competences in agriculture, political sciences, and eco-hydraulic engineering. The set goal of the proposal aims at the protection and restoration of ecosystem functions and services. The IWS-LWW will make a significant contribution with its expertise in numerical modeling of eco-hydraulic and morphodynamic processes.
