Abstract

The CityChlor project ran from 2009 till 2013.CityChlor was a transnational cooperation project that aimed to improve thequality and minimize the pollution of soil and groundwater. Our solution? Anintegrated approach to tackle the threats caused by contamination withchlorinated solvents in urban areas.

Project partners from Belgium, France, Germany and The Netherlands workedtogether in the necessary complementary team to achieve this goal. Allparticipating institutes have direct responsibility in the definition ofpolicies and guidelines in their respective regions.

CityChlor was co-funded by INTERREG IVB North-West Europe (NWE), a financialinstrument of the European Union's Cohesion Policy. It funds projects whichsupport transnational cooperation.
