Definitions Project: GroPro - SinoGerman cooperation for Groundwater and Soil Protection and Remediation

During the definition phase, workshops and mutual visits will be organized, based on existing good contacts with the CRAES (Chinese Research Academy of Environmental Sciences), to identify further government and business partners and suitable model sites for cooperation projects. For this purpose, a powerful consortium consisting of German and Chinese partners will be set up to develop strategies for groundwater remediation, risk assessment, land recycling and the future protection of groundwater and soil in a joint project for China. In the BMBF-CLIENT project to be requested in phase 2 (autumn 2017 / spring 2018), innovative German technology for the exploration, rehabilitation and monitoring of polluted soil and groundwater shall (further) be developed for the German market and then / in parallel for in-situ demonstration projects at Chinese model sites. The work in Germany is financed by the BMBF and the work in China by Chinese donors.
