Management of the BMBF Funding Priority KORA: Retention and Degradation Processes to Reduce Contaminations in Groundwater and Soil

The main aim of the BMBF funding priority KORA is to investigate whether, how and possibly under which conditions natural attenuation processes can contribute to hazard identification, hazard review, and possibly hazard protection, whether natural attenuation processes can also be utilised in connection with clean up to allow the reuse of polluted groundwater and land, how legal and economic questions can be considered and how general acceptance can be encouraged. The KORA-Management (PüB)is charged with actively supporting all participants in the funding priority. They should promote the collaboration of the individual Thematic Networks to present a joint recommendation handbook and compile this using the knowledge and experience gained in the numerous KORA-projects.
