The hazardous landfill Billigheim will be filled according to current estimates in 15 to 20 years. Landfill aftercare essentially includes the disposal of seepage and various monitoring and, if necessary, maintenance work. For this reason, different methods are used in this project in order to arrive at the most accurate prognosis of seepage and pollutant concentrations after backfilling and covering.
