Stiftung AQUA awards the AQUA Study Prize 2020 to Aron Negusse Asfaha for his outstanding Master's Thesis.
Aron Negusse Asfaha was an international student of the "WAREM - Water Resources Engineering and Management" study program at the University of Stuttgart. His outstanding Master's Thesis on "Optimal Design of Pressure Measurement for Stochastic Calibration of Water Distribution Hydraulic Models" was supervised by PD Dr.-Ing. Sergey Oladyshkin at the Institute for Modelling Hydraulic and Environmental Systems. The thesis deals with the calibration problem of water distribution models that are key to any analysis, design evaluation or assessment to be carried out on the water supply pipe networks
Unfortunately the prize ceremony cannot take place in the framework of the annual event organized by the faculty. But we decided to organize a small coming together in order to award the certificate. Interested people are invited to follow the ceremony via livestream:
