Lydia Seitz successfully defended her PhD thesis entitled "Development of new methods to apply a multi-parameter approach - A first step towards the determination of colmation" at the IWS on July 29, 2020. The LWW (Department of Hydraulic Engineering and Water Resources Management) team is pleased to congratulate Lydia Seitz on her successful PhD defense and wishes her all the best for her future career.

Lydia Seitz presented her research results during her doctoral examination on July 29, 2020. The examination committee appointed by the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering of the University of Stuttgart consisted of Prof. Rainer Helmig as chair, Prof. Silke Wieprecht as main examiner and Prof. Holger Steeb as co-examiner.

Ms. Seitz wrote her doctoral thesis on "Development of new methods to apply a multi-parameter approach - A first step towards the determination of colmation". During her research, Ms. Seitz developed a multi-parameter approach to detect possible colmation of river beds. Lydia Seitz has already presented her research results at several international conferences and published them in international journals.
