Ingo Schnauder becomes new Head of Hydraulics Lab Operations
Dr. Ingo Schnauder joined the team of the Hydraulic Laboratory at the Department of Hydraulic Engineering and Water Resources Management on February 15, 2024.
Ingo Schnauder became as head of hydraulics lab operations a member at the hydraulic laboratory on February 15, 2024. In addition to the conception, design and realisation of research projects in the field and in the laboratory, he will also conduct his own research on the topic of wood in rivers.
Mr. Schnauder researched previously at the Vienna University of Technology (2019 - 2024), where he was head of the "Wood in Rivers" programme, the Leibniz Institute of Freshwater Ecology and Inland Fisheries (IGB) in Berlin (2006 - 2012) and Cardiff University (2004 - 2006). In his research, he carried out field measurements on stream turbulence and flume experiments on the interaction between flow and vegetation.
