- Description
-
Multi-phase flow processes are especially complex if the phase composition changes, i.e. if mass transfer between phases occurs. This mass transfer takes place at the interface between the respective phases. To allow for the temporal resolution of this process, interfaces have to be explicitly accounted for. Thus, the common (local) equilibrium assumption can be relaxed.
