CO2MAN: CO2-Reservoir Management at the pilot site Ketzin. Sub-project 2: Reservoir simulation and visualisation

Department of Hydromechanics and Modelling of Hydrosystems

Funded by Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) from 1st September 2010 until 31st August 2013

Project Description

The aim of the CO2MAN project network is to continue the work at the CO2 storage pilot site Ketzin. Thus, CO2MAN directly proceeds with the work performed within the EU-project CO2SINK and several other Ketzin related projects funded by the special program GEOTECHNOLOGIEN. The sub-project attached to our department is part of the CO2MAN modeling and simulation framework. Within this sub-project, current site data is integrated into the reservoir model and a history matching is performed.
This is a follow-up project to: CO2SINK-In-situ R&D Laboratory for Geological Storage of CO2
WP 6.1: Dynamic Flow Modeling
